The IRS says they have made improvements to “Where’s My Refund” that will provide taxpayers with a more detailed refund status message. “Where’s My Refund” will provide clearer and more detailed updates about the return’s processing status and will inform the taxpayer if the IRS needs additional information to process their return.
The IRS also said that for taxpayers e-filing their returns and requesting direct deposit most refunds will be deposited within 21 days.
